چکیده
Apollo-Soyuz photographs of the Monte Desert in southeastern San Juan, Argentina, were used for a reconnaissance survey of large-scale desert landforms. The Apollo-Soyuz color photographs were helpful in distinguishing lineaments and probable faults, drainage patterns, rock types, and soil-tonal variations. These photographs were especially useful in studying the distribution of sand deposits and large-scale dune morphology. The photographs reveal that the physiographic setting of the study area is characterized by mountain-and-bols6n topography controlled mainly by faulting. Most of the lineaments detected on the photographs appear to correspond to faults, and some of them may provide evidence of recent fault movement in the area. Typical topographic features include barren, deeply dissected block mountains bordered by slopes of alluvial materials that descend to a flat-floored desert basin. The most prominent features on the desert floor are two dune fields. The larger field lies south of the town of Vallecito and is approximately 1300 km2; the smaller dune field is near the town of Marayes and is approximately 160 km2. In the southern part of the Vallecito dune field, draa-size complex ridges display steep western flanks and gently sloping eastern flanks. These ridges are diagonally crossed by smaller linear "ational Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian

Similarity DH-Algebras
In cite{GL}, B. Gerla and I. Leuc{s}tean introduced the notion of similarity on MV-algebra. A similarity MV-algebra is an MV-algebra endowed with a binary operation $S$ that verifies certain additional properties. Also, Chirtec{s} in cite{C}, study the notion of similarity on L ukasiewicz-Moisil algebras. In particular, strong similarity L ukasiewicz-Moisil algebras were defined. In this paper...
متن کاملPreliminary Analysis of Color Variations of Sand Deposits in the Western Desert of Egypt
Astronaut observations and photographs of color variations in the Western Desert of Egypt are related to both iron oxide coalings on individual grains and the presence of locally derived material in the sand deposits. The results of four field trips, to Baharîya Oasis, Sîwa Oasis, Khârga and Dakhla Oases, and the Great Sand Sea, enable more detailed interpretations of colors photographed during...

Trauma patients are at high risk of cervical and associated injuries. The standard protocol includes immobilization of the cervical spine in a polytrauma as it will help to prevent spinal injuries in the prehospital settings. متن کاملBiological Control of Tephritid Fruit Flies in Argentina: Historical Review, Current Status, and Future Trends for Developing a Parasitoid Mass-Release Program
In Argentina there are two tephritid fruit fly species of major economic and quarantine importance: the exotic Ceratitis capitata that originated from Southeast Africa and the native Anastrepha fraterculus. In recent years, the use of fruit fly parasitoids as biocontrol agents has received renewed attention. This increasing interest has recently led to the establishment of a program for the mas...
